Surely more than once you heard your grandfather or some other elder around you say ” The miser’s money goes to the market twice” . Hence, when you see an offer like the one we bring to analysis today, you have some suspicion, should you buy a tablet for less than $100 or not?
Content of the page
We found thousands of user reviews commenting on more expensive models “it didn’t last me a month!” “It has problems since I started using it!”
And of course, we wonder how feasible it is to risk buying a product that works for a couple of months and then have to add to that spending a fortune on a more expensive product (fingers crossed that this time it lasts at least more than two summers).
That is why in this post we propose you to get to know the LNMBBS tablet in depth , both its characteristics and the opinions that buyers have about it.
Our review of the LNMBBS 10” tablet
If you are looking for more advanced features, you may want to consider the P40 model from the same manufacturer, which costs 45 euros more, but already incorporates 4G and a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi connection, Full HD resolution and a metallic finish. However, for less than $100 we are hesitant to find a more reliable option .
As you can see, very satisfied customers, and if you keep reading opinions, the experience is repeated. But if you want to know our professional opinion, we invite you to this analysis that we make of each of the characteristics:
Design and materials
The design of this tablet is basically nice. The black model with gold edges has arrived, and when we hold it we notice it is thin, although not as light as we expected. This is good and bad at the same time, good because thanks to the plastic finish it is more resistant , and bad because holding it for a long time can tire us.
Now, you can buy it with the cover and you will already have adequate support. Continuing with the design part, when we place it horizontally, at the top you will find the USB-C port, the left edge is totally clean, while the right one has the headphone jack, the volume buttons and the power button. Further down we find the hole to reset and on the lower edge we only have the microphone.
On the back we find a removable cover design, to place the two SIMs that it supports and the micro SD of up to 128 GB inside ; and at the bottom are the two speakers.
Really, in terms of finishing, it is the plastic that does not convince us: it is logical given the price, but at the same time it does not have adequate properties to combat the heating of the components , so care must be taken when using it to avoid this problem, which could lead to rapid battery, processor, and RAM deterioration.
Screen
We have a bright and quite sharp screen, considering that we are in the presence of an IPS LCD screen with HD resolution . That’s 1280 x 800 pixels, and just over 150 pixels per inch: fair but reasonable image quality .
When it comes to contrast and colour, we cannot complain. The levels for proper indoor use are more than sufficient, just as the viewing angle is quite wide.
Speakers
As we had mentioned, this tablet has two speakers, and although the sound is somewhat flat, it is quite powerful . Of course, if you prefer a better sound experience, we recommend adding headphones or connecting to a Bluetooth speaker.
Hardware
For $95 we will have a discrete power device: First of all, we have a MediaTek 8121 quad-core processor at 1.3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage , what does this translate into?
In good performance for basic tasks , such as watching videos, browsing, playing simple games. We have also tested it with our favorite video game for these PUBG reviews and if we lower the graphics to medium quality, it runs quite well: We did not want to be unfair and we installed the Lite version, and this one does run very well.
Operating system
In this tablet we have Android 9.0 , to guarantee the best fluidity given the characteristics of the hardware that we already saw. It is a solution used by many Chinese manufacturers to avoid overloading the device.
Connectivity
As we mentioned, the LMNBBS model X109 has a dual SIM card slot, which will allow you to access a 3G connection when you’re not in a place where you can connect via Wi-Fi. Supports GSM and WCDMA networks.
Cameras
At this point, as expected, we find a 5 MPx rear camera with flash light, and a 2 MPx front camera : enough for video calls and little else. But, really, who takes photos with the tablet camera?
Drums
The battery is as fair as the quality of the screen and the audio, with 5,000 mAh for a 10.1” screen, we will have continuous use of between 4 and 6 hours .
So, for a common routine, we should be able to get through two days, but better to charge it at night to avoid being left hanging in the middle of the second day.
Opinions about the LNMBBS 3G tablet 10.1” HD tablet
The tablet that concerns us today is the X109 model from the Chinese manufacturer LNMBBS , and as expected, it has been widely accepted as an entry-level tablet and it has not been difficult for us to find numerous opinions about it:
“I’ve only been using the tablet for a week, and I have to say I’m surprised…for the better. For the price it runs very smoothly, the image quality is good and the battery lasts as expected. I recommend it 100% for those looking for a very affordable and quality tablet.”
“We have bought it as a family tablet: for my son to play and we can watch the occasional movie from time to time. For that use, in addition to navigation and day-to-day things, it is perfect. The battery lasts for several movies and a lot of play. So to summarize: for its price it has given us a good performance.”
“The price is surprising, especially when I have seen that I have been using it for days and it works perfectly. The only thing… that is to be expected from a cheap tablet is the screen glass that is quite easy to scratch and leaves a lot of marks, but hey, that doesn’t affect performance. The image quality? Well better than I expected. Nowadays, having Full HD, 2K, 4K and all those resolutions with a zillion pixels, it seems to us that a modest HD screen is going to look horrible, but the truth is that brightness and sharpness, although fair, are not lacking. And for day to day it is plenty.”
“It exceeded my expectations, because the memory is large and the battery has enough stamina. In addition, the finish is beautiful and it runs the games we have tested well.”
Last conclusions
Now that you know the opinions of the users and ours, in addition to having reviewed the most relevant characteristics of the model, we leave you our final assessment:
The LNMBBS X109 tablet is a basic model that works for very simple tasks, or as a children’s tablet, as long as we buy a good resistant case together and put the relevant parental control apps. If you are looking for more advanced features, you may want to consider the P40 model from the same manufacturer, which costs 45 euros more, but already incorporates 4G and a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi connection .
